The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has reduced the goods and services tax (GST) rate from 6% to 0% effective 1st of June 2018.

Step 1: Login to NeoPOS
1.1 Open the NeoPOS Cashier System (Front End) and put in the ID & password (must manager level login ID).
Step 2: Exit to the main page
2.1 After login to NeoPOS Cashier system, click "Exit" at the floor plan to go to main page.
Step 3: Go to "Setting" and select "MISC01"
3.1 On the mainpage, go to "Setting" and select "MISC01".
Step 4: Locate the "TAX' box in the "Setting 1" tab
4.1 "TAX" box is located on the right of the 1st row.
4.2 There is 3 buttons in the "TAX" box which are "New", "Edit" & "Delete", select "Edit".
Step 5: Change the "Tax Name" & "Percentage"
5.1 Change the "Tax Name" to "GST 0%" and "Percentage" to "0".
5.2 Make sure you have correctly changed the "Tax Name" & "Percentage".
5.3 Save the "TAX" setting.
Step 6: "Save" the "MISC01 Setting"
6.1 Save the "MISC01 Setting" and it done! Now the GST already changed from 6% to 0%. :)
Step 7: Edit the Receipt Printing Format
7.1 Now go to "Setting" > "Printer Layout".
8.1 Select the "Cashier Printer" then "Edit".
9.1 Locate the "Recall Printing Format (Simplified Tax) & "Recall Printing Format (Full Tax)". Both need to be edited.
9.2 First choose the "Recall Printing Format (Simplified Tax)" then find the "Service Charge (Inc GST 6%)" & "Total Sales (Inc GST 6%)". Edit the caption to "Service Charge (Inc GST 0%)" & "Total Sales (Inc GST 0%)"
9.3 Now choose the "Recall Printing Format (Full Tax)" then find the "GST 6% on" & "Total Sales (Inc GST 6%)". Edit the caption to "GST 0% on" & "Total Sales (Inc GST 0%)"
9.4 Choose the "Recall Printing Format (GST Summary). Locate the 6% and edit it to 0%.
10.1 Lastly, Go to "Setting" then "MISC02"
10.2 Find the "Default Tax Name" then change the name to "GST 0%". Congratulation! You have done it! :)
Important: (Please read)
For those inclusive items, you have to change the existing selling prices (6% GST inclusive) into prices without tax. Which means the new selling prices will be lesser than the existing prices. Uncheck the "Tax inclusive".
For exclusive items, you don't have to change anything.
